The competition aimed to create a school of fashion designing that inherently comprises of an interactive public front, opening up possibilities of an exchange between designers and the people. To be able to forge connections with the ethos of the location (Lakecomo - Italy), the school of fashion is imagined, not as an introverted institute, but in a constant dialogue with genesis of fashion itself; that is, the life and culture of people.
We are proud to announce the winners and honourable mentions, along with a list of Top 25 submissions shortlisted by the jury for ‘Fashion meets Architecture - rethinking the future of schools’.
We received an overwhelming response of around 540 registrations from all over the world. All the participants have shown spectacular level of creativity and extraordinary approaches in designing. All the Top 25 submissions are up for viewing on the website and published on various media platforms.
We invited everyone, irrespective of their professions or qualifications, to join the competition and present their ideas. Participants were free to submit multiple entries but each entry needed to be registered with a seperate email ID.
Alongside individual entries, team entries were also allowed. A team could have a maximum of three participants. Interdisciplinary teams were also welcomed to join. There was no age limit, however, entrants under 18 years of age had be lead or entered by someone over the age of 18.
