Project Description
Animate pads offer a delightful canvas for design, requiring a blend of eclecticism and imagination despite the constraint of limited space. In this case, the challenge was to transform a substantial area to suit the refined living preferences of a young industrialist recently returned from the States, with a desire for a loft design reminiscent of New York flair. The inhabitants of this dynamic space included a couple in their early 30s, an infant, and a furry companion. The interior concept revolved around showcasing raw materials in their unprocessed state, preserving their intrinsic texture, color, and form. The central space was enveloped by an exposed brick wall, embodying an authentic sense of character. Natural wood furniture, with its intricate veins and textures, contributed to a one-of-a-kind ambiance that shifted with the changing daylight. Complementing this, the incorporation of verdant greens and tranquil blues of the pool encircling the area elevated the overall sensory experience. Interestingly, this project abstained from utilizing conventional tiles except for the mosaics embellishing the pool. Instead, the apartment predominantly embraced cement plaster for the finishing of walls, columns, and ceilings. A standout feature lay in the meticulously designed electrical grid system. Each individual MS conduit member was precision-cut and layered according to measurements. A 12mm M.S. Conduit pipe was elegantly suspended from the ceiling via ceiling clamps, maintaining optimal spacing. Notably, the centralized air conditioning system discreetly integrated piping along exposed GI Matt black cable trays. Upon entering the opulent apartment, the Foyer greeted visitors with a distinctive focal point: a freestanding display unit, ingeniously crafted from a fusion of metal and wood. This multifunctional piece served as both a partition and a platform for displaying assorted items. The ceiling, left uncovered to reveal its height of 10'6", introduced a burst of color through vibrant living room furniture, creating an inviting atmosphere. The heart of the home rested in the open kitchen, seamlessly extending into the dining area and an adjoining outdoor lounge/bar space. The dining zone boasted an exquisite wooden table paired with chairs in a spectrum of hues, accompanied by contemporary white metal pendant lights. Transitioning to the outdoor lounge, a low sofa seating arrangement harmonized with a bar counter, gracefully supported by hanging metal rods. Suspended from the ceiling, a wooden bar storage solution added visual intrigue. Against the backdrop of this bar area and an accompanying water feature, the apartment exuded an air of lavish indulgence. For added drama, a bespoke human sculpture graced the poolside. Named "The Awakening," this sculpture was conceived to emanate positive energy. As twilight descended, the sculpture cast enchanting reflections onto the pool's surface, creating an illusion of multiplied stature. The master suite, exuding a masculine aura, centered around a wooden king-size bed flanked by a leather headboard. A backdrop of wooden louvered wall paneling and mirrors occupied an entire wall, adding depth and dimension. Accessible from this suite, the attached bathroom offered convenience alongside elegance, featuring a pair of wardrobes, a bathtub, and an exquisite concrete counter housing his and her basins.
