1What is the nature of the competition, and is it open to all?
The Nemetschek India Office is an International Design & Build competition open to everyone—students, professionals, design studios, and interdisciplinary teams from any background and location.
2Can we participate as a team?
Yes—teams of up to 3 members are allowed. Individuals can also participate by registering as a single-person team. Interdisciplinary and cross-location teams are welcome.
3Can team members be from different colleges, firms, or countries?
Yes—teams can be cross-institutional, cross-firm, and international.
4Can team members be changed after registration?
Yes—teams may add, swap, or remove members before the registration deadline, provided the total does not exceed three members. Email competition@archdais.com with your Team Code to request changes.
5What’s the last date to register and submit?
Refer to the Timeline & Registration section of the brief for current deadlines.
6Can I register and submit on behalf of my team members?
Yes, as long as their names are added during registration and all members have consented.
7What if I entered the wrong email or made an error in registration?
Email competition@archdais.com with your Team Code and correction request before the registration deadline.
8Can firms or companies participate officially?
Yes—design firms and studios are welcome to participate. Register under a single email ID with up to 3 members.
9Are group discounts available?
Yes, To encourage greater participation—especially among students, institutions, and firms—group discounts are available for 5 or more team registrations. You can either add multiple teams during checkout or email us at competition@archdais.com with the subject line: ‘C26 Group Discount’ to avail the offer.
10Can I get a GST invoice for the registration fee?
Yes—a GST invoice will be shared once you fill details properly on the Billing page. You can find it under My Orders, once the payment is done.
11What should the submission include?
One A1 sheet (landscape, 841 × 594 mm) in JPG/JPEG format, max 10MB. Include drawings, visuals, and a concept narrative—following the official A1 template provided. The concept narrative can be up to 300 words (excluding headings).
12Where do we submit?
Upload your sheet via your Archdais dashboard using the ‘Submit’ button after loggin in from your registered email ID. If facing issues, email your design proposal to submission@archdais.com with your Team Code in the subject line and as the file name.
13How should I name my submission file?
Name your file exactly as your Team Code (e.g., TNXXXXX.jpg). Incorrect file naming may result in disqualification
14Is there an official template to use?
Yes—download the official A1 sheet template from the link in the brief. Preset elements must not be moved or removed. Only one sheet is allowed per entry.
15At what level of detail should the design be?
This stage is focused on concept and design intent. We are not looking for full working drawings or detailed construction documentation. Your submission should clearly convey the layout, material approach, and overall experience.
16Are detailed construction drawings required?
No—focus on presenting a strong, buildable concept. Detailed working drawings will only be required if the design is selected for execution.
17Can I propose structural changes to the site?
No—major structural modifications such as RCC alterations, column relocation, or slab cutting are not permitted. Your design should work within the existing structural framework.
18Can I change the placement of service areas like pantry, toilets, or server rooms?
No—these are fixed as per the existing site services. You may redesign finishes and fittings, but plumbing and core service locations must remain as they are.
19Is it mandatory to design the terrace space?
You are encouraged to activate the terrace thoughtfully, but no permanent construction, roofing, or heavy installations are allowed.
20Are there height restrictions for partitions or furniture?
Yes—ensure all design elements comply with the floor-to-floor height (4.2m) and allow clearance for services.
21Can I change the façade or building exterior?
No—façade changes are outside the competition scope. Focus on the interior layout and experience.
22Will participants receive training on using Vectorworks?
Yes—free tutorials, an extended trial license, and live Masterclass sessions are available. Details are in the brief.
23What is the judging process?
All eligible submissions will be evaluated by an expert jury based on: Innovation & Clarity, Brand Alignment, Empathy & Experience, Spatial Ingenuity & Flow, and Feasibility.
24Who will be on the jury for this competition?
We’re curating a panel of distinguished professionals from the fields of architecture and interior design. The jury list will be announced soon on our website and Instagram. Stay tuned for updates.
25Will non-winning entries be published?
Yes—select entries may be featured on Archdais platforms, with full credits.
26When will the results be announced?
Refer to the Timeline section in the brief for the exact date. Updates will also be shared on Archdais platforms and via email.
27 Will winners receive media coverage?
Yes—winning entries will be published on Archdais platforms and shared across Nemetschek Group and partner media channels.
28Can I register now and submit later?
Absolutely—you can register early to secure your spot and submit your design anytime before the final submission deadline.
29Is the entry fee refundable if I withdraw?
No— the registration fee is non-refundable.
30 What if my file exceeds 10MB?
Compress it before submitting. Files above 10MB will not be accepted.
31How will I know my submission was received?
You’ll see a confirmation message on the website after uploading. For email submissions, you’ll receive a confirmation within 36 - 48 working hours.
32What if the Archdais website is down near the deadline?
If you face urgent technical issues, email your entry to submission@archdais.com with your Team Code and explanation.
33Can I modify the number of workstations, meeting rooms, or other required spaces?
No—the minimum numbers given in the brief must be met. You can add more if the space and circulation allow.
34Can I add new spaces not listed in the brief?
Yes—if your concept allows, you may add extra functional spaces, but all required spaces must be included first.
35Should furniture, material finishes, and lighting be final or conceptual?
Provide them at a concept level to express your design intent—exact specifications or details are not expected at this stage.
36Can I include more than one sheet in my submission?
No—only one A1 sheet is allowed per entry. Multiple sheets will not be reviewed.
37 Can I include videos, animations, or external links in my sheet?
No—only the single JPG/JPEG sheet will be evaluated.
38 Is there a fixed budget for execution?
There is no fixed budget at this stage, but proposals should be realistic and feasible with standard materials and construction methods.
39If my design is selected for execution, will I be involved in the process?
Yes—Nemetschek Group will directly collaborate with the winning designer(s) to refine and execute the concept.
40Is there a site layout file provided?
Yes—the official office layout is provided in Vectorworks (.vwx) format. You can download it from the link in the brief.
41How do I access and use the site layout file?
Download and install Vectorworks on your laptop or computer (link in the brief), activate the free 7-day trial, and email india-support@nemetschek.com with your Archdais Team Code to request an extended license valid for the entire competition period.
42I’m facing issues installing Vectorworks. What should I do?
If you have trouble installing the software, email bsiddharth@nemetschek.com for technical support. Include your Archdais Team Code, operating system details, and screenshots of the error (if any)
43Will there be any training or guidance on Vectorworks?
Yes—participants can enroll for the free Vectorworks Masterclass sessions mentioned in the brief.
44 Is it mandatory to attend the Masterclass?
No—it’s optional, but highly recommended to help you get the most out of Vectorworks and create a strong presentation.
45 Are there tutorials to help me learn Vectorworks?
Yes—free beginner, intermediate, and advanced tutorials are available in 10+ languages. You can find the link in the brief. These short (2–3 min) videos are designed to help you quickly get comfortable with Vectorworks.
46Will I receive a certificate for completing the tutorials?
Yes—upon completing the tutorial series, you can download an official Vectorworks Professional Certification certificate, which adds value to your portfolio.
47Can I remove or alter the Vectorworks logo from the template?
No—the Vectorworks logo must remain untouched. It’s part of the official branding and must appear exactly as provided.
48Can I build over the terrace?
No—the terrace cannot be roofed or built upon. However, you are encouraged to creatively activate it as a green retreat, outdoor collaboration zone, or flexible work area.
49How do we receive our Team Code (UIC)?
You will receive your Team Code only after completing the registration process. You can also find it in your profile under My Orders.
50Where should the Team Code be used?
The Team Code must be used in the email subject line, file names, and on the submission sheets as specified. It is the only identifier used during evaluation.
51Are multiple entries allowed?
Yes, multiple entries are allowed. However, each entry must be registered separately using a unique email ID and will receive a separate Team Code.
52What should I do if I don’t receive my Team Code after payment?
Please first check your spam or promotions folder. You may also find your Team Code in the My Orders section under your profile on the Archdais website. If you still do not receive it within 24 hours of payment, kindly write to us at competition@archdais.com and share your payment confirmation or screenshot. Our team will assist you further.
53What if payment methods are not available in my country, or I face payment issues?

54Where do we use the Team Code?
Your Team Code is your only identification for the competition. It must be used wherever requested by the organizers, including on your submission sheets and in file names, as mentioned in the submission guidelines.
55Can team members be changed after registration?
Yes, updates to team member details are allowed until the registration deadline ends. Please email competition@archdais.com with your Team Code and the updated details.
56What units should we use for drawings and dimensions?
Participants may use either metric or imperial units. Ensure dimensions are clearly marked wherever required.
57What language should the submission be in?
The official language of the competition is English. All explanatory text in submissions must be in English.
58Can we share our proposal on social media before results?
Participants are requested not to publicly share their competition proposal before the winners are officially announced, to maintain anonymity and fairness.
59Will all participants receive certificates?
Yes. All participants receive a digital Certificate of Participation irrespective of winners.
60What is a promo code? Is it mandatory? How do I get one?
A promo code is a special discount code that may be offered for certain competitions. It is not mandatory for registration, and participants can register without one at the regular fee. Promo codes, when available, may be shared through Archdais’ official social media handles. If any offer is active, the promo code can be applied during registration to avail the discount.
61Is a group discount available? How can we avail it?
Yes, a group discount is available for a minimum of 5 teams registering together. While registering, you can keep adding teams and their team members under the same registration process. Once the minimum requirement is met, the group discount will be applied automatically. After registration, each team will receive a separate Team Code. If you face any issue while availing the group discount, please write to us at competition@archdais.com and our team will assist you.
62What happens if I don’t follow submission rules?
Submissions that do not follow the required format, anonymity rules, file naming, or submission limits may be disqualified.
63Is the registration fee refundable?
No. The registration fee is non-refundable.
64Where can I find complete Terms & Conditions?
All Terms & Conditions and updated rules are available on the Archdais website under the competition page.
65Can Archdais change the timeline or competition requirements?
Only if absolutely necessary, Archdais may make limited changes to the competition timeline, submission requirements, or related guidelines. In such cases, the updated information will be shared through the official competition page and/or Archdais’ official communication channels. Participants are advised to check the competition page regularly for any important updates.
66Can I add my logo or personal branding?
No. The competition follows an anonymous evaluation process. Your submission sheet must not contain your name, logo, college name, firm name, watermark, or any other identifiable mark. Any such information on the sheet may lead to disqualification
67Can I use any font style, or are there any restrictions?
You may use any clear and readable font style in your submission. There are no specific restrictions on fonts; however, participants are advised to avoid overly decorative or hard-to-read fonts, especially where clarity of information is important for evaluation.
68Can I change team members after registering?
Yes. Team members may be updated or changed any time before submission. To request a change, please write to us at competition@archdais.com, and our team will guide you further.
69Can I add a team member later?
Yes. You may add a team member after registering, provided your total team size remains within the maximum team limit allowed for that competition. To request this, please write to us at competition@archdais.com, and our team will guide you further.
70I paid twice by mistake. What should I do?
If you have made the payment twice by mistake, please write to us at competition@archdais.com and share screenshots of both payments. Our team will review the details and assist you further.
71Are hand-drawn sheets allowed?
Yes. Hand-drawn submissions are allowed, provided they are neatly scanned and submitted in the required format mentioned in the brief.
72Can I use portrait orientation instead of landscape?
No. For this competition, the Design Proposal must be submitted as a maximum of 5 A1 sheets in landscape orientation, along with the Area Statement as a separate A4 PDF, as specified in the brief. Participants are requested to follow this format strictly to ensure consistency in review and evaluation.
73Will Archdais own my design?
No. The ownership of your design remains with you. However, by participating in the competition, you grant Archdais the right to publish, feature, and promote your submitted work across its platforms and communication materials, with due credit to the participant/team. If a design is selected for further development or execution, the respective participant/team will be contacted separately by IPDS for further communication regarding the next stage, including design fee and associated terms.
74Do I need to rename my file in a specific way?
Yes. Please name your submission file using your Team Code only.
75Will the timings be based on IST or my country’s time zone?
All competition deadlines and timings are based on Indian Standard Time (IST), regardless of the participant’s country or time zone. Participants are advised to convert the deadline accordingly from IST to their local time zone to avoid missing any stage.
76Will my identity be revealed to the jury? Can I contact the jury directly?
No. To ensure a fair and anonymous evaluation process, only your Team Code is shared with the jury. Participants are requested not to contact jurors directly regarding the competition or their submission.
77Will you send reminders before deadlines?
Yes. Registered participants do receive deadline reminders through email and/or Archdais’ official communication channels. Participants are also advised to check their spam or promotions folder in case any email is missed.
78Can teams from the same college apply for group discounts?
Yes. Group discounts are available for five or more teams registering together. The teams may be from the same college, different colleges, or even from different disciplines, as long as the required minimum number of teams is met during registration.
79Can we ask questions during the competition?
