1Are the teams allowed to share their work for the competition before the winners are announced by the organizer?

The participants are only permitted to share their proposal for the competition on social media or any other platform once the winners are revealed officially. Archdais will also publish each submission at this date and will be working with many design platforms to attract publication opportunities.

2What is the competition brief?

The competition brief is a document that explains the design problem you'll be solving. It includes site details, design requirements, and criteria for judging. This document can be downloaded from our website.

3Are multiple entries allowed for submission and can hand-drawn sheets be submitted?

Participants are free to submit multiple entries or projects, but each entry must be registered by a separate email ID. One sheet will have one project only. Hand-drawn sheets are allowed for submission, participants can scan and mail them to us on Follow all the submission guidelines carefully.

4How can I get a discount on the competition fee?

Discounts can be obtained in two ways. Firstly, through a promo code, which is a tool to obtain a discount on the competition fee. It's not mandatory for registration, but it can help reduce the cost. You can get a promo code either from an Archdais influencer or by writing to us at Secondly, if you are registering a group, a discount is available for a minimum of five teams. During registration, continue adding teams and their information using different email IDs for each team registration. If you encounter any issues while availing this discount, please write to us at with the subject line "Group Discount Query”.

5Where all do the participants need to use their unique team code?

All the participants would be using their team code on the top right corner of their sheets, as the name of their submission and wherever requested by the organizer. This code will be their only identification for the process related with this competition. Kindly read the submission guidelines given in the brief carefully.

6Is there an entry fee for the competition?

Yes, participating in the competition does require an entry fee. is a community-supported platform and the entry fees help us manage competitions sustainably. They also support us in publishing and promoting outstanding submissions across the Archdais community throughout the year. You can find specific entry fee details in the competition brief.

8What file types can I submit?

Each file uploaded should be a maximum size of 15MB file size. PDFs are recommended.

9What dimensions should my rendering have?

Submit PDF with A2 size sheet (594mm x 420mm) Landscape orientation. As your file is going to be viewed on a computer/laptop screen. Refer to Submission Requirement & Format given in the brief.

10What type of renderings can be submitted?

Your rendering(s) can take the form of a perspective, parallel projection, section, or abstract. As long as it portrays part or all of a building or group of buildings or interior space, it is eligible. It can be located anywhere in the world and be at any scale.

11Can I submit more than one rendering?

Yes! You can submit as many renderings as you like but each entry must be registered with a separate email ID.

12Can my rendering be of an existing building or an interior space?

Yes. Your rendering can illustrate a new architectural or interior design proposal or an existing piece of architecture or interior design. It should capture the experience of those that would inhabit it in some way.

13What type of software can I use to create my rendering?

Any 3D modeling software and post-production software (such as photoshop) can be used. The image should be identifiable as a rendering rather than a photo, and also attach clay render or wireframe or Model without Texture as guided in the submission requirements. The Archdais team will use its discretion to judge eligibility and reserves the right to disqualify entries.

14How will my renderings be judged?

Submissions will be judged online according to three key criteria: Communication, aesthetics, and impact. Definitions of those 3 terms can be found on the judging criteria page given in the brief. (Download it from our website

15Can multiple people submit a rendering as a team?

Yes! Teams of up to three can submit an entry. One person in the team must be designated as the “team leader”. In the event a team wins, prize money will be given to the team leader and they will be responsible for distributing the prize among their team members.

16How can I be sure you have received my entry?

You will receive a confirmation email from once the submission deadline has ended, even if you share the entry before the deadline, a confirmation will be shared after 24-48 hours of the deadline.

17Can I withdraw my entry? Will I get a refund?

Refunds WILL NOT be issued.

18Do I have to be an architect or interior designer or architecture/interior design student to enter?

No. The Great Render Competition celebrates the architectural process and all of those who aspire to create great architecture/ interior design spaces. Students, design enthusiasts, and the general public are encouraged to submit.

19Do I have to be based in India to participate?

No, The Great Render Competition is a global awards program and anyone in the world may enter.

20I just graduated. Can I enter as a Student?

Yes — Class of 2022 students that just graduated or are about to graduate can enter as Students.

21Does the entry description need to be in English?

Yes. To ensure our judges can review and score your work we require your descriptions to be submitted in English.

23Is there an entry fee for The Great Render Competition?

Archdais community supported and entry fees enable us to run competitions sustainably, as well as publish and promote the best submissions year-round across Archdais. The fees for each entry period are as follows: Early Bird: Indian Nationals INR 1000 | Foreign Nationals USD 30$ Standard: Indian Nationals INR 1500 | Foreign Nationals USD 45$ Late: Indian Nationals INR 2000 | Foreign Nationals USD 60$

25Is it possible to receive the judge’s rating and/or comments for my entry?

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of entries, Archdais cannot offer individual comments to its entrants.

26How many entrants will win The Great Render Competition?

50 entrants will be shortlisted. Out of these Finalists, Three (3) winners will be selected by our Jury to win the INR 100,000 cash prize, with 15 Honourable Mentions along with the top 32 entries shortlisted for TOP 50.

27What do I get if I win The Great Render Competition or if my entry is chosen as a Finalist?

To help promote achievement, Finalists will receive special coverage on and Archdais’s social media channels. Three Winners will receive INR 100,000 cash prize & Certification.
