The Freedom Pocket is an open ideas design competition with no intention to build.
2What is the design challenge?
The challenge is to design a 24-hour study center for children aged 10 to 16 years for 30 children.
3Is it going to be a library?
No, it's a study center dedicated for children aged 10-16 years.
4Can we choose any site for our design?
Yes, participants can choose their site anywhere in the world that is the right fit for this challenge, with appropriate justification.
5What are the size restrictions for the site and building?
The total site area is 240 sqm, with a built-up area of 100 sqm and a height restriction of 6 meters. No basement and parking to be provided.
6What is the difference between easily accessible and universally accessible?
Easily accessible means that the site is within a reachable distance for students from communities with limited resources. Universally accessible means that everyone, no matter their physical or mental abilities, can use and enjoy the space or service.
7Will the children's parents or tutors be allowed in the facility?
The facility is to be designed as a study center for children only.
8Can the provided spaces be modified or expanded?
Yes, participants can modify the provided spaces as needed, with appropriate justification. Additional or reduced spaces should align with the design concept requirements.
9What is the Design Challenge for this competition?
The challenge is to design a 24-hour study centre that caters to children aged 10 to 16. The centre should be universally accessible, providing a supportive environment to study and personal growth of children.
10How will participants receive their Unique Team Code?
Participants will receive their unique Team Code upon completing the registration process.
11Are multiple entries allowed, and how should they be registered?
Yes, participants can submit multiple entries, but each entry requires a separate email ID.

13Can we submit hand-drawn submissions?
Yes, hand-drawn sheets are allowed. Scan and email them to submission@archdais.com, following all guidelines.
14Where should participants use their unique Team Code?
Your Team Code should be included in the top right corner of the submission sheet, in the email subject line (if submitting via email), and as the file name.
15What should participants do if they don’t receive a Unique Identification Code after payment?
If you don’t receive your Team Code after payment, send a screenshot of your payment receipt to competition@archdais.com within two working days.
16Is there an entry fee for the competition?
Yes, there is an entry fee. Details on the fee are provided in the competition brief.
17What is a promo code, and how can participants get one? Is it mandatory?
