All queries regarding registration process, fees, or payment should be sent to email@example.com with 'ENQUIRY' as the subject.
1How does a team receive their unique Teamcode code?
All the participants will only receive the unique teamcode on completion of the registration process.
2Where all do the participants need to use their unique team code?
All the participants would be using their team code on the top right corner of their sheets, as the name of their submission and wherever requested by the organizer. This code will be their only identification for the process related with this competition.
3Can I change team members after I register?
Teams are welcome to add any new members as long as their total members do not exceed 3. However they are prohibited from swapping or removing any existing member of the team. To do this please send us your request on firstname.lastname@example.org with the details of the new team member along with the team Unique Teamcode.
4Are the teams allowed to share their work for the competition before the winners are announced by the organizer?
The participants are only permitted to share their proposal for the competition on social media or any other platform once the winners are revealed officially. Archdais will also publish each submission at this date and will be working with many design platforms to attract publication opportunities.
5What are the modes of submissions?
The participants are requested to submit their work through mail on email@example.com in A1 size sheet in 150 DPI resolution formats. All the submissions will be taken digitally only.
6What should be the submission file size?
The file size should not exceed more than 10MB.
7What file name should be given to submission material?
The participants are requested to submit the files with their unique team code as its name. Follow the submission guidelines given in the brief carefully.
8What unit system should any participant adhere in case if anyone wants to show dimensions?
The participants are free to use any one of imperial or metric unit systems.
9What would the size of the sheet be?
The participants are required to use an A1 sheet i.e. (841 x 594 mm), (33.1 x 23.4 inch). The sheets must be composed in Landscape orientation, with the Unique Team Code on the top right corner.
10What should the participants do in case the payments are not available in our country?
We request the participants to send us the queries on firstname.lastname@example.org to get an alternate payment method. We would send you all the possible payment methods.
11What does the participant do when they don’t get a unique identification code after the payment is made?
In case of such a problem we request you to send us screenshot of your payment receipt to email@example.com with the “unique identification code” as subject matter within two working days of the transaction.
12Any speciﬁc typology of houses to be considered while participating?
Participants can submit any Project, which ﬁts into a deﬁnition of a house. ex. a condo, a studio apartment, a villa, Row House or a bungalow (from Micro to Macro Level)
13Do we need to submit only executed projects or we can submit the projects at conceptual stage too?
Participants can submit any Project, which are executed or at a conceptual stage or worked on them in college.
14Is there any speciﬁc theme to be considered?
We urge participants to come up with their most creative concepts (theme) they have in mind and not get restricted to one. It is open for all kinds of design ideas.
15Are hand-drawn sheets allowed for submission?
Yes, they are allowed, participants can scan and mail them to us on firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow all the submission guidelines carefully.
16Will all the participants will receive certificates for being part of the competition?
All the participants will receive digital certificates irrespective of the winners.
17What is a promocode? & How to get one? Is it mandatory for registration?
Through Promocode participants can avail discount on the competition fee. You can get it from an archdais influencer, or by tagging 5 friends in any recent post of the competition shared on social media handles of @archdais & @archdais.competitions . It is not mandatory for registration.
18Minimum number of teams eligible for Group Discount? & How to avail?
Minimum 5 Teams or more are eligible for group discount. Write us on email@example.com with number of teams willing to participate in the Competition. Archdais Team will guide you with the procedure.
19What is the judging criteria for this project?
Participants will be judged on the following criteria: Design Expression, X Factor, Completeness & Representation.
20What is the minimum scale of the cafe interior project to be considered?
Participants can consider minimum scale of a cafe which will full fill all the requirements of it to a maximum size of a cafe designed earlier.
21Any speciﬁc typology of cafe to be considered while participating?
Participants can submit any Project, which ﬁts into a deﬁnition of a cafe. ex. a coffee house, coffee bar, The Drive Thru, The Grab-and-Go or a kiosk (from Micro to Macro Level)
22It has to be a complete café interior project or a part of it will be considered?
Participants need to submit a complete café Interior project and not a part of it (Ex: a outdoor seating , a kitchen or a dining area, etc. they have designed are not allowed)
23What is the nature of the competition and is it open for all?
The Cafe Interiors, Design Competition is an open ideas design competition with no intentions to execute the proposals submitted in any form. Archdais do not reserve any rights on the submitted design proposals. The competition is open to Students, Teachers, Designers, firms and professionals.
24Can we consider any beach in the world for the option design given for the café?
Participants can consider any beach in the world, but it must be accessible to the public & not located on any remote place.
25In the design do we have to show furniture in Detail?
Furniture Details are always a plus, but it completely depends on the participants & their design. (No Compulsion)
26Entry fee for the competition & timeline?
Fees & Timeline (All the deadlines are 11:59pm IST) 1. Early Registrations (21st October 2021 – 01st December , 2021) – Indian Nationals: INR 1200 - Foreign Nationals: USD 30$ 2. Standard Registrations (2nd December 2021- 10th January, 2022) - Indian Nationals: INR 1800 - Foreign Nationals: USD 45$ 3. Late Registrations (11th January - 25th January, 2022) - Indian Nationals: INR 2400 - Foreign Nationals: USD 60 $
27What is this competition?
We invite participants to send us their take on the design of the café interior, set in the site of their choice. Focusing on evoking an interesting and lively social experience, this competition allows participants to explore their own design of what a 'café' could be. This competition is open to participants creating new designs for the brief; or uploading projects they might have done earlier in their academic or professional careers. We urge designers to unwind back, and think through their earlier projects, and ask if their designs address the above ideas of a café.
