Project Description

The Outpost is an upcoming brand for luxury stays on offbeat destinations. It is located on the Hills of Hampta Pass, Himachal Pradesh that falls under those rare, dramatic pass crossings in the Himalayas. On one side is the lush green valley of Kullu — with forests, grasslands, and flowers blooming on the side of your trail. On the other is the almost arid, stark landscape of Lahaul, with barren mountains and almost no vegetation. The idea is to provide luxury stay in the hills and yet maintain the aesthetics of the mountain. To serve the tourist visiting the place, the property withholds a modern contemporary café with fusion of locally available building material giving it a touch of hills. Each table has its own set of chairs surrounding it, creating small intimate areas for guests to enjoy their meals. The furniture selected is modern yet comfortable, inviting customers to sit down and relax. The color palette is a blend of greys and browns with furniture in bold colors to mark them as statement pieces and creating an inviting atmosphere. There are mainly 3 types of accommodation in the property; Dome, Villa and Luxury villa with a double height roof. Each type of accommodation is designed with an open plan approach mainly focusing on inviting the nature inside and yet maintaining a cozy comfortable stay. The wall infront of the bed is glazed wall giving a beautiful view of the valley ahead. Privacy of the guest is the top priority of the designed and hence the accommodation is designed such that nobody from one deck can get a peek of the insides of the other. It would make for an ideal retreat after a long day or serve as inspiration for anyone looking to create their own peaceful oasis.
