Project Description
Situated in the lush green pockets of Sahyadri Mountain ranges, these concept row houses stare at the Sinhgad fort through the "Kalyan Gate".
Brief provided by the client was somewhat challenging- to fit the given number of row houses on the sloped site in a way, where all the top floors will get the view of the fort without compromising the privacy. There also needs to be a separate peacock garden and a club house with swimming pool.
In this concept, I combined two houses in one to form a twin so I could stagger each twin in a way, one could see the fort from their viewing gallery while maintaining the privacy. It also allowed me to introduce pathways inside the layout.
As for the material, I imagine this as bricks and mortar sandwiched vertically rather than horizontally. The building does not shy away from exposing it's structural elements, rather uses it's structural walls and staircases to enhance those mortar lines.
