Introduction

Sculpting the pioneers of Architecture is an International Design competition that gives one the opportunity to reflect on the design philosophy of the chosen Architect. Globally acclaimed architects with variety in style and cultural background have been selected to give broader perspective to this competition.

It is a tribute, a token of appreciation to express our gratitude for the work that has been contributed by these architects. Architecture is a primal necessity that has been pin pointed several years ago but enhanced today due to the amount of work and dedication put forth by architects globally.

Not to emphasize on one style or region, 5 Architects have been chosen from around the world that convey of how the built form functions and adapts to various settings and people. Participants will be given a choice to select 1 of the 5 Pioneers mentioned herewith.

 

Aim

The Aim is to design a sculpture that acts as a symbolic representation of the Architects work.

The Sculpture shall target aspects of design as referred and developed by the chosen architect.

It shall be made accessible to the end users, explore stimuli and various possibilities to be physically experienced by the end users.

Awards & Certifications

Architects, Architecture Graduates, Students or Engineers are eligible to participate. Interdisciplinary teams are also encouraged to enter the Competition. Submissions can be the work of an individual or a group of upto 3 members. There is no age limit, however, entrants under 18 years of age must be lead or entered by someone over the age of 18. Awards Winning participants will receive prizes totaling INR 2,00,000 with the distribution as follows:
